UNDERGRADUATE FINAL STUDIO PROJECT – MARCH 2023
In this project I tried to illustrate climate features in my design. The hot and humid climate of Kish Island demands less use of sunlight. Windbreaker is an iconic architectural element in Iran’s hot climates, which I used to maintain the building’s potential position. The most crucial step in my design was facing the difficult summers of this Island, so I replaced the big curtain walls made of glass with smaller windows to save more energy in cooling systems. The windbreaker used in this project is a natural ventilation system that saves an impressive amount of energy.
